The Good:
There are free, open source software browser options out there, whose teams are working to keep large language model ("A.I") slop out of the program (and the code).
The Bad:
It's hard to build a browser engine that handles everything in the modern web. Nearly all browsers are powered under the hood by one of these three:
On Ladybird: A new independent browser engine being made *could* be great, but this one is NOT. They embrace AI slop, plus they think acknowledging anyone other than men is "too political" to put in documentation.🤢
If you liked firefox, try one of these browsers, built on the open source engine Gecko. (These are my recommendations if you're not sure what you like, too)
